Friday: Birthday Party Northern Style

Travelled up to Newcastle from London today to go to my auntie's surprise 60th birthday party.  Her husband and daughters had been planning and scheming for months to get her, and everyone else, there this evening.

My auntie was under the impression that she was going to a charity event for the local Fire Brigade......which she wasn't.  Great night (there were a lot more people there than this photo implies) and the surprise worked brilliantly.  We held it in the social club of the local fire station (my uncle used to be in the Fire Brigade) and the pints were sooooo cheap!
