food glorious food

Went over to Melton Mowbray today to visit the Victorian Christmas Market. This time last year the weather was atrocious with inches of snow covering most of the country and the market although busy was walkable and shoppable.
Today was totally the opposite, took ages to park up, nearly had parking rage with a pensioner..the world and his wife had decended on the town and you where reduced to shuffling along like a hobbled donkey.
Ended up in the pork pie shop and came away with a jar of Melton Red chutney a piece of rather nice aged Red Leicester cheese and a pork pie oh and half a dozen hand made mince pies and then we came home..
Chris has now gone to bed with the beginnings of man flu
