You're right, it's a simple and practical title, there's no denying it, but it does sort of fit the bill and is 100% truthful, although other titles are available like.... Chimneys on a cold slate roof...?

Twas a starry, starry night, if a little short on actual stars in this particular iPhone offering.

Tonight came the first touch of winter as I happened upon the motorways of 62 and 61 respectively and in a westerly direction. Out there amongst the gritters (of which they were several) and with salt and grit in abundance in this fair county of Lancashire, did the sleet come down.

Wait until the real stuff shows. There may be a different story to tell.


Right, that's that one done. Must now attempt to deal with a small matter of some back-blips....
