Oystercatchers Redux
A pair of American Oystercatchers (Haematopus palliatus) striding along at the edge of Little Estero Lagoon, Fort Myers Beach, Florida, in the glow of the setting sun.
I pursued reflections of birds repeatedly today (and may tomorrow). Quite a number of them were better--as reflections--than this, but none had this capture's color and motion. Also, the shot gives an accurate impression of the lagoon's borders. It is altogether less than elegant, but it attracts birds.
It is so marvelous to be staying in our apartment overlooking the lagoon--we feel in the lap of luxury at a bargain price.
