An Everyday Rocket

By everydayrocket

Be as you wish to seem.

It's been a while, I'm due for some existentialism.

Of all life's experiences and nature's creations, flowers seem for whatever obscure reason to remind me of our finite natures - how beautiful and less taxing everyday trials and tribulations seem when viewed in the context of the short time we have to enjoy them. Looking at a relative's orchids, one is reminded that being is elusive; to look at an orchid between blooms is to see an ugly grouping of funky leaves and gnarly roots. But fleetingly, for those who watch closely, the plant proves itself another thing entirely. Just as we become disillusioned with ourselves and what surrounds us, life shows us that we can be just that - another thing entirely.
