Hungry young Spoonbill

During a walk around the Korsmanns Bird Sanctuary in Benoni, we observed this young African Spoonbill (Platalea alba) continually harassing the parent bird as together they waded through to shallows feeding. It would just not let up.

Reminds me of some youngsters I have known over the years.

The other birds in the blip are Red-knobbed Coot (Filica cristata).
