Egg

Mrs MV and I went to Culzean today for a walk around the house and the surrounding grounds. There were a couple of Oystercatchers flitting around on the shore, fishing and generally doing whatever it is that Oystercatchers do.

We noticed their nest. A classic Oystercatcher nest - just a small hollow in the shore. With 1 egg. Cool. So we moved on, not wanting to disturb them or make them feel that the nest was under threat.

When we walked back along the beach, we noticed that some idiot had stepped on the egg and broken it.

What an arse.
