Elevate

This is a pair of elevator pulleys at a residence hall at the nearby university. I have been meaning to photograph them but haven't ~ until today ~ had the light working for me.

I have had a serious lack of inspiration of late... whereas I once would photograph almost anything that my caught eye, I now rarely see anything that "calls" to me. So, most of what I shoot these days is hardly anything I'd call special.

It seems that when I leave the apartment ~ today, for example, to go to the post office ~ I spend as little time as is necessary to get where I'm going, doing what I need to do, and then getting home.

I suppose it's just my nature, lately, to be home and working on some things I should have done years ago, so I suppose it doesn't bother me too much. Still, I feel like I should be creating more artful photographs.
