Calton Hill

I ventured out of Leith today and took a shot of some of the buldings on Calton Hill. Many people on arriving in Edinburgh mistake this for Edinburgh Castle. It is in fact Governor's House the last remaining part of the largest jail in Edinburgh, The monument to the left is the Martyrs monument and the building to the right is the back of St Andrews House (this is where the jail was located). Both Governor's House and St Andrews House are Scottish Government buildings. Just in view to the left of st Andrews House is the Dugald Stewart Monument .
