Buffleheads and Heron

Woke up this morning to another frost....looked out to the pond and noticed it was almost completely frozen over. The sun came up and started to warm things up and then in flew a beautiful heron and a pair of Bufflehead ducks. It was amazing to see the other group of mallards come in about a half an hour later, several landing and skidding on the ice before breaking through. Just an amazing morning, with so much going on right outside my window! Photos taken through the window :)
