Nettleham

I managed to grab a quick five minutes to take this hurried shot of a Christmas tree at Nettleham, a village close to where I live. Spotted it a couple of days ago and decided a brief detour on the way home from a shocking day at work. I might have made a mess of it, who knows.

I'm going to admit something now, and in reality it is for one persons benefit but I guess everyone gets to read it. I'm jealous of my brother. Not because he has an amazing little boy (see thehutch's journal - i'd link but my internet barely allows me access to this site, let alone all manner of sub menus).. it's his recent photo ability.

Our kid has become a quite talented snapper in just a few weeks, and I confess to feeling extremely jealous, and proud at the same time. I took photography up as a hobby last year and in reality have done VERY little to advance my skills - yet in just two months my brother has really developed his skills. I know now with his dedication he'll soon be far more accomplished than I can dream of, and I admit that I am jealous. There. I said it.

However he is jealous of my looks so I guess it's even Stephen :)

Seriously find his journal at www.blipfoto.com/thehutch and judge for yourself. His still life flowers from t'other day were really good for someone who took up the hobby just a few short months ago and is only three weeks into owning his first DSLR.

In other news the Inland Revenue and Lloyds TSB can lick my balls. If I wanted to spend twenty minutes listening to a computer generated voice then I'd watch the X Factor not ring a financial institution. They stick my tax code up or charge me over exhubberant overdraft charges and then make it impossible to phone up for a discussion. Progress my arse.
