In the bleak midwinter

Bit tricky getting out of the house today what with all the snow and ice. Have ordered winter tyres and will have them fitted tomorrow. For years I have avoided having them because we rarely had snow for more than a day or two.

But this is the third winter that we have had snow in Scotland before Christmas with more predicted.
This is climate change. And we never even got a summer, well, not a proper one.





The Eskimos had 52 names for snow because it was important to them; there ought to be as many for love.
