Just checking

.... that the wooden trees that hold our seasonal candles haven't got woodworm or any other nasty ailments. Needn't have worried, all is well with them and soon they will be aglow with candles.

Speaking of which, having decided against making candles out of my own earwax (as I mentioned in a comment on a fellow blippers entry), at lunchtime I bought some more of the small candles that featured in my entry yesterday. I was a bit surprised to be asked by the bloke that served me 'are you intending to actually light these?' er, yes, I replied. Turned out he was simply being very helpful as he advised that I should keep them in the fridge before using, as they would last longer.

So, contents of our fridge now includes: cheese, beer, meat, candles. Yum.
