Pou

The new heritage bypass was opened yesterday and we now only have to cross two one lane bridges to access Kerikeri. The new route is longer so it still takes the same amount of time ( or even slightly longer ). Such is progress.
This pou, ( pole ) was erected at the town end of the bypass and another is at the opposite end. It was made by the local Hapu, (subtribe of the local Iwi ) and is very striking !
