Why banks are so annoying

It was a frustrating day today . I tried to sort out some of my mother's affairs. After an hour on the phone to Talk talk, I have still not managed to cancel her phone - an 0870 number, passed round from pillar to post and finally being denied because they had lost my mother's consent for me to act on her behalf. The bank was happy to transfer money to her account in the bank next door but wanted £20 to write a cheque. So at my request they gave me her life savings in cash. Do you know how long it takes to count double count £20000 in notes in two banks? Well, about an hour. Is it me or I'd life getting more and more complicated and frustrating? Must be my age...
