Friends over for lunch today. Hunters stew followed by summer fruit cobbler. Great banter and much laughter surrounding my 'new' white bowls which had sat in the cupboard just long enough to merit keeping them. ( Nick "Are those bowls new?" Urchin "No we've had them ages!") In fact it was this very dessert that swung it, the colour of the berries looked fab. against the white of the bowls.
