Yes, winter is definitely here

There had been a sprinkling of snow on the garden over night and I set off early for the committee meeting in Haltwhistle, using the Military Road as usual. There had been a lot more snow on higher ground and the road was tricky to negotiate. The light at 9 am was beautiful and I stopped very briefly to capture this image. There is a sort of translucency in the sky at this time of day when it has snowed.

Long walking festival committee - lots achieved.

Hospital this afternoon for Mum's hearing aid appointment - saw our very favourite hearing aid technician who is always delightful and helpful.
