Well Done!

So today I graded the in-class essays that my Thursday students wrote this past week. Well, actually only half of my students wrote the essay because the other half explained by email that they really weren't ready. Good grief. So I offered them the opportunity to come to this Tuesday's class to write their essays.

I was pleasantly surprised and it was a pleasure to read these drafts and their handwriting was not too difficult to dicipher. They all wrote competent drafts and several proved that they had truly learned the material of this semester and earned very high scores. I am confident that they are qualified to pass to the next level of English and to write well for all of their future classes and certainly for what counts the most . . . their future careers.
