Clingstone

This house is named Clingstone. It is on an island in a bay, built in 1905. It was bought by an architect in 1961 for 3,600. It had been abandoned for two decades and had gone to the birds; roof collapsed, all 65 windows broken.
Here it stands today, after much blood, sweat and tears... Fully self sustaining house. Wind generator, septic system, cistern for cleaned hot and cold running water.
It is my parents friends house and I had the pleasure of "experiencing" Clingstone from my childhood to now. I grew up as the house took shape.
I thought I might share... ; )

Google "Clingstone" if you wish. NY times did a great piece.
