WALKING OVER THE ZANDMOTOR

was the first thing in the morning to undertake. It means further to cycle, then walk in immense fields of sand, battle with stormy winds.
Yesterday's journey went well, all the connections smoothly held and homecoming in a bit of rain.
Then the enormous surprise of the loveliest, friendliest and heartfelt comments ever. Overwhelming response and of course I will visit you back, starting tonight. In the afternoon Piet Hein and I will go to Utrecht, to be present at the Koningsberger-lecture, held by a friend, prof.dr.mr. C.J.M. Schuyt.
Professor V.J. Koningsberger held at 25 november 1940, at the university a public lecture in which he condemned the measure the German occupiers took to discharge all the Jewish professors from their position, in the Netherlands.

My haiku:

Sorrow brought upon
Innocent people again
The past never ends

And the proverb from the Talmud:

What is hateful to thyself do not unto thy neighbour.
