Smoke and Strong Whisky

The morning wasn't too nice, wintry showers, but it cleared up and I went a short walk past the Highland Park distillery, where I shot this, then past Catty Maggie's Quarry and down the Wideford Burn. Quite a few redwings and fieldfares about and a hen harrier. I noticed one, then a total of six brown hares sitting close together in quite open areas and think that they were in sun-traps in the lee of rushes on a piece of hillside catching the afternoon sun. A few snipe etc about and two short-eared owls too far for a photo.
