from where I am today

Ouch!!!

I thuoght I would get out the old vinyl records at the weekend, played a couple and they didn't sound too good, I then realised that the cartridge is 32 years old - time for a new one.
I found and phoned the dealer for this equipment to be told that it should be serviced and with a few parts probably needing replaced due to the age of it, the cheapest cartridge he would recomend will cost 360.00 alone, plus labour and any other parts to bring it up to standard Ouch!!!!!!! (Apparently this model should be serviced every 2 years or so). So it will have to be CDs until way after Christmas.
