'Progress & Perseverance'!
Over the past 4 years Jonty has picked up many Rosettes for many reasons at obedience classes (commonly referred to as 'Doggy School' in our household). So I was very pleased last night that Foxy also received a couple of Rosettes for the work he's put in over the past year. The two that Foxy got were for Progress and also for Perseverance (I think I got a bit of that Rosette!)
Foxy did get a Rosette earlier in the year and that was for making progress in the class. He went on from there to obtain his Bronze 'Good Citizen Dog Award' which is issued by the Kennel Club of Great Britain.
Jonty has his Gold GCD award but he has been working at it on a one to one training basis. It's much harder to train two dogs as they will both insist on getting involved in what the other dog is doing.
I must try to get Foxy on his own in the new year to practice some of the exercises he's not so good at.
Jonty excels at 'Send Away', 'Scenting', Walking to heel around obstacles, in fact he's a very good all-rounder and Foxy is getting there. He's made amazing strides (even with his little legs) over the past year and I'm very proud of him.
