Cloth of Green
Took a lovely walk between the showers, just around the land, with the cat and dog in tow. We have had a lot of rain and it was a very watery landscape, the steams all full and fast flowing. Loved the way this rock face is being covered in greenery with mosses, ivy, pennywort and St Patricks cabbage ( saxifraga spathularis ). The latter is specific to the West of Ireland, some of you may be more familiar with London Pride ( Saxifraga umbrosa ) a hybrid of S. spathularis and S. urbium.
