The Welder

T had it easier today as Tuesday is when P, a local farm worker, comes to give a hand on the farm. This Meccano-looking like structure is the base of a gatepost T is welding together. It was rather wobbly before so it has a homemade base added to it which will be submerged under the ground followed by some cement. N is there in his new wellies holding it steady!

I escaped to the local WEA Christmas luncheon. After picking up several people in the car we arrived at The White Horse pub at Hazelbury Plucknett where we met the others. It was very pleasant chatting and enjoying the Christmas fare (turkey and all the trimmings of course) in the light and warmth of two log fires.
