An unexpected visitor

Insects?
In wintertime?
Seriously?

This flying critter (obviously some sort of a lacewing) dropped onto my work materials literally out of nowhere, giving me a mighty fright. I'm not really a bug person (unless we speak about the blipped ones which I can appreciate, or the cute ones like ladybugs and butterflies) and can imitate the sound of a fire engine pretty well, if they happen to land on me. I'm glad this one didn't.
