Bentley 4.5 litre engine

This magnificent piece of English engineering was built in the late 20's and was massively advanced for its day.
In the 1980's or 90's you'd be chuffed if your company car had 16V in a 4 cylinder engine - this engine has, as well as overhead camshaft, aluminium crank casing & sump, dual carburettors and twin magnetos (rather like an aero engine). Each cylinder displaces over 1 litre!!

But the best bit is it still works and probably will for many years to come.
