United Enemies
This blip is a bit left of centre. I headed to the art gallery to stretch my legs at lunch time because it was a bright cold winters day (at least at that time, which went down hill to wind and rain when going home). I went in to the Henry Moore Institute (next to the art gallery) which has an exhibition - United Enemies.
The exhibition includes a pyramid of oranges that is a reconstruction of a sculpture made in 1969 - called 'Soul City', which contains over 6,000 oranges, which depletes as visitors help themselves. I asked if I could take a photo of the pyramid and was told I couldn't but I could take one of the oranges. Why do they not allow photos in galleries?
So this is my free 'piece of art' I'm holding in my hand taken outside of the HMI with my generation 1 iphone using hipstamatic, so I can't do any focusing - what you see is what you get. It's quite an arty effect but perhaps you can critic it, but please don't be too harsh :)
Over half way towards the weekend!
