Where is 'Cook'?

I loved the 'Malory Towers' series of books when I was a girl. I'm sure that they used to have 'Cook' at home. Or maybe my memory just made that up.

After a day at work Mr H and I often hope that 'Cook' will have the meal ready for when we get home and indeed that tomorrow's lunches will be ready to take to work. On days off, we hope that the butler will bring us morning tea and toast in bed.

We have no cook or a butler so we fend for ourselves, as usual this evening. The avocado (avogadro) on toast is a substitute for onion bhajis which we usually have tonight. Probably goes better with a veggie chilli, too. It was extremely tasty.
