What lies beneath
The underside of a Blushing Bracket fungus is covered in elongated slot-like pores. Its this underside that gives it its name: when fresh the pores are much paler and 'blush' pink if you press them. This one is rather older and looks more like a crunchie bar. The same thing has happened to me. Added to which I've now ricked my neck trying to get this photo!
