Immature Cooper's Hawk
This little resident hawk was just outside my window when I awoke this morning. He was waiting for the little birds in the bush beside him to come out. He was hungry.
Immature hawks have these beautiful brown streaked feathers on their breast.
They have a 2 1/2 foot wingspan and long tail that helps them maneuver between trees while pursuing small birds.
