Kurdish light

There's a bit of a light theme going on here.

Started early today - sending e-mails at 4.30 a.m.! Then some time trying to sort a PC issue lying esconced in the 'office' before heading off to meet L and visit Crichton House. We had lunch at the Parliament and then I braved JL. I still have no cards for UK friends. I'd left the joiners and the sparkie to finish off so now I do have moose moulding but I also still have a dimmer switch. Yesterday's storm has brought down more trees including another cherry on Jawbone Walk.

This evening, my first Christmas night out for ages with the new gang - a fantastic meal at Hanam's authentic Kurdish and Middle Eastern restaurant. We sat in a tented room, under these pretty lights. The food was amazing and great value, although I did have to head off out at the start to find some wine. No-one had told me it was BYOB, but I should have known.

There was quite a lot of deep conversation about religion and belief with Richard and Nick and some sharing of knowledge and reminiscence about the NE - clearly a NE thing to know where the Broch is.

We'd started at 5, finished by 8 so it was off to continue in the Whiski Rooms. I had one drink, iced tap water, and then braved the freezing cold to come home.

I'm too tired to party tonight, comes of burning the candle at both ends - although in my case forgetting to blow it out means I've got to the 23rd very, very quickly. Mmmm!
