Below the streets of Liverpool
Anyone who has been following my journal will know that I'm passionate about Liverpool. I love to find areas that are not well known and discover parts that most people are unaware of. So today I took V to get her tyres changed, only to find this, a labyrinth of disused railway tunnels, inhabited by a garage for the last 27 years! From the street it's difficult to spot the entrance unless you know it's there, which makes it all the more cool.
Once inside, the owners were only too pleased to tell us about the history of the place and that it housed a railway from 1898 to the late 60s.
Amazing place...
