Weetslade#3

This is a view looking south west from the top of the Weetslade Nature Reserve. It's looking towards Newcastle and Gateshead and beyond.

The day was cold, damp and breezy. I had a half decent sleep from night shift, seven hours !! I am back at work tonight. When I reached this point I noticed a thin line of orange sky and the crepuscular rays I was quite happy as I'm trying to think four blips ahead, it means that I can have a plan !

I learned a bit more about the place today, apparently it was abandoned in 1967 after the Colliery closed and didn't re open as a Nature reserve until 2006.

I remember when I first moved to this area, it was a spoil heap with kids and adults using the area as an Ad Hoc motorbike trials track, it was quite a dangerous place and the multitude of dog walkers just weren't using it as they do today.
