Bullfinch
We took the bird feeders down before the storm on Thursday. This morning, we refilled everything, and within minutes the garden was like an aviary. We enjoyed watching. I did go outside to try and capture some images, but they all flew away. So this is my best shot, through a rather dirty window on a grey day, and therefore too high an ISO. My 300mm lens won't go any lower than f/5.6 when fully extended.
This Bullfinch is eating a sunflower heart, these black seeds are very popular, and a full feeder can empty in two days.
The Goldfinches are really keen on Nyger seeds. The seeds have been there for months, but our visitors have only found them during the last few days.
