Kurdish princesses?
I met this black haired woman in a coffee shop the other day
and I was admiring her beauty...
feeling I'd want to do portraits I haven't done in ages
I asked her would she mind if I photographed her some day.
She said not all and started telling about her daughters
and their national kurdish dresses she could wear in a photo, and
the way they wear dresses when they celebrate with family and friends -
and even she has lived in Finland for nearly 20 years, she
loves ordering the dresses and wearing them for special occations.
So when I saw them dressed up I couldn't believe my eyes.
Naturally I loved photographing them,
this frame wasn't the the most visual or best one,
but it shows the dresses beautifully.
This evening I have lots of good photos to go through,
and the nicest thing about it all - I feel like I made new friends.
