Dougie

It was my pleasure to present Dougie Thompson with the WEEKENDER Sport team of the Month award today. Dougie received the award as Chairman of Millwey Rise football club. The club's first team won all four of their games in November and are going really well at the moment. But it was fitting to present the award to Doug who represents all that is good in local football - he played for Millwey for more than 25 years and since then has continued to give his all to the club as manager, groundsman and now chairman. What some of the other local teams would give to have somebody so dedicated.
