The Choice
To be honest, my problem recently has been finding something to blip, not having to choose what to blip. But today for a change I had lots of great things I wanted to blip.
This is part of St Nicholas Kirk - a church in Aberdeen. It has been woefully neglected, despite being one of the most important buildings in the city. It even even hides the oldest known wall in Aberdeen!
To go along side the efforts to restore this once great building into somewhere useful and vibrant for the community there will be a photography exhibition to raise awareness and to archive some of the history in the place that will be lost from view when the work is done. A large group of amateur photographers have been asked to take the pictures for the show, and I'm delighted to be part of it. So today we were given a quick tour to look at what there is and how we might organise the event.
It's still a bit of a building site, from when major archaeological works were going on, but there's still a lot of beauty there too.
