Bullfinch

Didn't really feel inspired to go out today. Lots of birds in the garden to watch and lots of jobs to do. I'm off to Far Ings Nature Reserve tomorrow with the local RSPB group, so hoping for some good sightings. It means an early start and a long day, so taking it easy and getting my stuff ready tonight.
The highlight for me in the garden was this male bullfinch - such handsome birds and not such regular visitors, but we had quite a count today: goldfinch (about 20!), wood pigeon, chaffinch, dunnock, robin, blackbird, magpie, jay, blue tit, great tit, coal tit, and starling.
