Egg In Cup

We went out to lunch today with Errol and Takako. We went to the same place we went last week, because we liked it so much; Alexander could rampage about on the racing cars and chat up ladies big and small. So we weren't very hungry at teatime.

Daddy said he would make Alexander Egg In Cup. He claims this is a traditional Scottish dish but I haven't managed to have this verified. Regardless, it makes me gag.... a soft boiled egg mashed up in a cup with bread, butter and salt and pepper. Give me a runny egg and soldiers any day.

According to Daddy this depicts Alexander transfixed with bliss and the prospect of another spoonful of Egg In Cup. Looks more like sheer terror to me. He did eat it all though.
