I'm so excited I don't know where to start! Sequence of events: As I walked the two yorkies, I saw the cardinal family going to church across the street. I thought they might have a nest by the manger so I ran home to get the camera. "You're a flippin' nut." my hubby says to me. "Go to church and pray for your soul" I shot back. All in good nature, of course.

I set up the tripod, and was leisurly snapping a few when I spotted him. OMG! I moved into HIGH GEAR, swinging the tripod around like a rag doll, because he kept flitting about looking for the bugs. I'd lost complete sight of him when I realized that he was DIRECTLY over my head. So very over my head, that if he were so inclined, he would have shat on my hat! The lens was full tilt straight up but I rotated this photo for viewing that makes sense to the viewer.
