Preston flickrmeet.
I think this building is called Tustin Court. I seem to remember connecting this to the telephony network, 20 odd years ago. It is photographed often reflecting the evening sun, when it reflects a warm golden glow. No such luck today.
It was the occasion of our local December flickrmeet, at the Ribble Pilot. We enjoyed a very tasty lunch, I had the fish. We even managed to get a free drink. Now the only way I think we could have improved on this, is if the pub had paid us for eating the meal. After an early lunch, we discussed the relative merits of film versus digital. Medium and large format cameras, and video cameras. One of the group, Nick, showed off a very new to me idea, of a moving pamaromic type shot. I think a lot of the group silently added this to their Christmas wish list.
We then adjourned to the Odeon cinema coffee bar, and enjoyed a frothy coffee. We all agreed that we looked forward to the shortest day on the 21st of December, when we could look forward to the coming year and eventually spring. I know we have January and February to endure, but hey, lets be positive.
Adios.
