Lights fantastic

The turning on of the christmas lights is a big event in the village. Last year, I got the time a bit wrong, and we ran round just in time to catch the firework and switch on. I was on the ball this year though, and after a tea of soup (made earlier by Gordon.. ) and cheese toasties, we managed to get there in time for the whole event. Quite a number of balloons were accidentally released into the night sky, and it ended with us all standing in the rain, but the fireworks (two this year!) were great, and the lights, as usual were spectacular.
