Tree Festival.
This is the first ever tree festival held at the Royal Victoria Country Park, and as you can see there are hoards of people paying £2 each to view the hundreds of thirty pretty trees sponsored and decorated by local businesses! This is where we normally have a stall at the Craft Fayre but this year we were crammed into a small function room next to the cafe where most of the stall holders struggled to cover their table fee! I don't think we'll be taking part next year (unless they improve their organisation skills!) I had loads of mince pies left over, as well as four decorated Christmas Cakes, and my other market ladies also had a lot of cakes unsold.
Show news:
Saturday Matinee went very well with over 100 kids and adults in the audience. A young man with learning difficulties was enjoying it so much he threw his full bottle of drink at 'Dolly' as she was singing her solo and it landed at the back of the stage. The cast carried on regardless, but the stage manager was livid!!
Today's matinee was quieter (45 audience) but the weather was atrocious, or maybe they had been warned about flying missiles during the performance!! Took us about an hour to strike the set before we all went home exhausted. All over until the next show in March.
