Northern Cardinal in Maui

Looks like we are in for some cloudy skies today on Maui, with sporadic light rain. That has given me an excuse to sit outside in this lush garden at our condo and watch the birds fly in. I was being quite entertained by some fairly common birds that I see frequently in Oregon, when in flies a pair of Northern Cardinals! Be still my beating heart, as I begged them under my breath to stay put while I got off 5 shots! We do not see these in Oregon, at least where I live, so this was a treat for me;))
