Journeys day by day

Daisy Mae

So instead of going back to the refuge, I was good and stayed home and got a lot done. I wasn't sure what I was going to blip, then I saw Daisy preening and all fluffed up on her cage as I was cooking. She is my constant companion, hanging out on me preening some more as I write this. I've had her for 12 1/2 years, and she's a year older than that. She is a blue mutation Quaker Parrot, and earned her name for the quacking sound she makes. She also purrs when I scratch her, just like a cat.
