Christmas Story House

If you have seen the movie The Christmas Story, you will recognize the lighted window and leg lamp in this picture. If you never saw the film, I recommend renting it or finding it on a TV station so you can watch it sometime over the holiday. It is well worth the time. Our family first saw it on Christmas night the year the movie was released, and it is hilarious entertainment for the entire family.

This afternoon our granddaughter was playing in a concert with the Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra. The venue for the concert was a church in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland, which was also the locale where the movie was filmed. So after Carrie's concert, when it was almost dark, we went searching for what has become known as "the Christmas Story house." Our timing was perfect because the lamp was lit and looked as "wonderful" in the window as the father in the movie family was convinced it would.
