Sloes

Dean and Caths Christmas party at the weekend and as a present I wanted to give them some homemade Sloe Gin. Me and Cath picked the sloes together so thought it would be nice to exchange our labours! Made 2 batches, one with some almond essence added, unfortunately it didn't taste quite right so piled in some more sugar and will have to leave it for a bit longer.

Have had trouble finding glass bottles to decanter the Gin into. The best I could find were £3.50 each which is steep when I have to buy 6 of them and don't have a job! Luckily Mum had a bright idea of buying bottles of White Wine vinegar at 68p a bottle, bargain! It does mean we have copious amounts of white wine vinegar...
