Life on the Good Intent

Cat Saves Birds from Hawk

Had just come back from failed attempt to get some pictures in the graveyard - light not conducive then a family arrived and I withdrew.

As I walked into the garden I was aware of a sparrowhawk flying towards a fence post when it suddenly wheeled and flew away! I realised that Kit was hiding in the ivy where the bird had gone to land!

Whereas my cats are pretty hopeless at catching birds the feathered predators have a fairly high success rate.
Waited around for a while and the three o'clock gang of long tailed tits appeared but no chance in the last of the daylight.
So another cat blip - it is outside at least and the flash shows how wondrous their eyes are - and his dirty nose!
