Monday 12 December 2011..................

Today is the second anniversary of when my dad, John, died, so I was a bit sad.

But I have been really blessed today. Early this morning my hubby and I went into Fareham to do some shopping, etc. Then, today was the Christmas lunch for the helpers of the monthly luncheon club at our church (about 4 miles from us).

Seven of us went to a lovely arboretum, near Romsey, where we had the most amazing 3-course lunch, in Jermyn House, on the site. A few months ago, we had an 'outing' to the Hilliers Arboretum, where we walked round the gardens and had lunch, etc. Jean (the lady at the head of the table - and the head of the luncheon club cooking) noticed the Christmas menu, so she went ahead and booked it.

The weather was lovely first thing here in Hampshire, a lovely bright sunny day. As we left (about 3) the weather started changing and we now have wind and rain, probably similar to most of the country.

We then went to pick Sophie up from nursery, and brought her here for a while, before taking her back to her house to get her ready for bed, before her mum and dad came back from work. We are both exhausted, but very happy, and ready for a good night's sleep.

Hope you have all had a good monday and have managed to keep out of the wind and rain!
